I was prescribed Clindamycin for strep and got Pseudomembranous Colitis a month later. My doc didn't put the two together and thought I had a parasite from Spain. I never put them together until my roommate turned up with the same thing and her doctor connected the two (she also was prescribed Clinda. for strep). Later I read that only 8% of patients taking Clinda. get this type of colitis so for me and my roommie to get it was really fortuitous in helping me solve the mystery of what the hell had happened to me! :) I forgot to leave this comment when I read this post before . . .
