Pippin.

We saw Pippin at the Royal Alex yesterday. It’s a play within a play, yet as it moves on, this distinction becomes blurred. It’s a thought-provoking work and towards the end reminds me of the movie Crossroads (the one where Ralph Machio has to contend with the Devil to live).

From childhood's hour I have not been
