As the Spring approaches, you can feel the energy building within our plants. We’ve got way too many house plants and we almost killed all of them a couple of years ago by watering them with softened water. On top of that most of them went through mealy bug, spider mite, and scale insect infestations. We don’t accept plants from people anymore because of this, and if we somehow get new plants, we quarantine for a while.

One of our oldest, a banana plant, has finally decided to put out some fruit. It’s about 3-4 years old, so bearing fruit is way overdue for it. You can see it also has a sucker coming up…

Oh guys! Plants are so beautiful and they do bring such a different, peaceful aura to your place. I feel like i’m on vacation somewhere in Costa Rica everytime i visit. Too bad i’m not closer so i can take any plants you don’t want or need off your hands, but i wouldn’t part with any if i were you. P.S. keep those chop sticks sharp, i’m rolling you guys some sushi when i come to visit for sure!!!
