To the Girl, From the Boy.

Music February 14th, 2007

Me: You should write her a thank you on the blog.

The Boy: But I can tell her at home.

Me: But our readership is up and she likes when everyone knows how much you love her.

The Boy: Um Ok.

“Dear The Girl,

These arrived at work today and I knew they were from you because your name was on the card (“from The Girl”). Thank you! Hope you like what I got you.

Love, The Boy.”

Me: That’s it?

The Boy: Yeah why?

Me: Well it is Valentine’s Day. It might be good to put a little more thought into it. How do you really feel about her right now.

The Boy: Well I feel like between us it’s a book–that we’re a book of some kind. And there’s love and dancing and I’m just so happy she’s with me forever. There’s music and laughing and crying. But we’re together.

Me: Aha. I know just the thing for you:

    Brody:
Do you think that you could hunt up a “fifty-something” version of “The Boy”? May be a neighbour or friend?

  • Ameloblast

(For all of you who are confused, Brody is my real dawg name).

Anon #2: I think I know who you are. Without a name it’ll be hard to set you up. If you are who I think you are, knowing what you know about our neighbours, I think you’ll want to stay away from them.
