A Bloomin’ Corn Plant.

Over the last couple of weeks we’ve been noticing a hint of a sweet, florally scent around the house. The only times we usually smell this kind of thing is from the spray cans in the washrooms or when The Girl forgets some fruit in a corner of the kitchen and it starts to rot.
We haven’t been able to track the source of the scent until today. We opened the door to the least used room in our house, my study, and were blasted by the scent full force. I’ve never seen one of these plants flower before:

The plant was obviously trying to communicate with us via scent because it was quite desperate for water. You can see the leaf tips browning.
