Landscaping Plans.

Cowland April 22nd, 2007

We’re undertaking a major landscaping project this Summer. The work is expected to last 3-4 months and will transform the property from this:

to this:

The plans were developed 2 winters ago and since then we’ve made some minor changes. We’re not putting in the hot tub and will probably use paving stones for the entire driveway instead of asphalt on part of it. The pool is a “natural pool”. It uses plants as biologic filters and requires no chlorine.

We’re not sure where we’ll be able to put the pig roaster and have people sit while the landscapers have the place ripped up, but we’ll think of something.

looks great u guys! yeah, too bad the men will be working while ur having your pig roast festivities, but that’s ok, just think of how gorgeous the place will be once the work is completed! i love it! wishing you that all goes well without too many headaches! looking forward to lounging in your beautiful backyard next summer, :)

wow, and i was soooo excited just to have removed the crabgrass from my front yard!

i think it’s going to look fantastic what it’s all done.

Anon: You’re going to be in Canada next Summer? I thought you were coming in January.

Dr. Mom: I have so many other things that I’d rather be doing than mowing, so I just let all of our weeds grow in across the front and back and every couple of months I mow them back to keep the woody ones out. Although I think it looks almost like a lawn after the neighbours probably disagree. They manage their yards properly.
