The First Project of the Summer.
Cowland June 8th, 2007
Our landscape project is due to start any day now. In preparation for it, we first have to have our electrical service to the house rerouted. The wires are buried right where the landscapers have to dig in the front. The rerouting should be done next week.
We’ve been toying with the idea of changing propane suppliers for the last couple of years. Apparently our builder stuck us with the most expensive supplier. We use propane for central heating, our gas fireplace, and the barbecue. While enjoying the hot springs and mud baths in Costa Rica last year, we happened to meet and make friends with a local supplier of heating fuel. Propane is one of the things they supply.
Changing suppliers means changing the storage tank as well, and this is something that needed to get done before the landscaping work.
So out with the old tank:

Now I have to get our previous supplier to come and pick up their tank.

The new one has a black hat on it. The new supplier gave us a choice of a white tank or a green tank. We thought the green tank would blend in better with the weeds around our place.

holy big projects ahead batman! a simple thing as changing those tanks still looks like big work to me, handicaped two-left-hands over here, lol, i can just imagine what it’ll be like once they start the actuall landscaping, but it’ll be all worth it in the end. and by the way, those hot spring/mud baths in Costa Rica look soooo inviting, i can so go for one right about now! soak my tired hygiene muscles.
anyways, we won’t be coming to canada in january, so next summer it is. can’t wait to visit and enjoy ur newly landscaped place, lol, if u’d invite us that is….
