Not a bad read, but I found the plot somewhat disjointed with various parts bringing limited value to the overall narrative. I was neither emotionally or intellectually intrigued by the story. There are parts of the novel, however, where there is some brilliant writing.

I don’t understand, you don’t like it but yet you still recommend it?

No, I’m ambivalent towards it. There are some key elements in it that will appeal to certain groups of readers in the thriller genre. It is thematically shallow, however.

Have you read any Alex Cross novels?

I read Four Blind Mice a while back but Patterson didn’t really entice me to continue on with the series…Maybe I should revisit Cross.
