Mister B. Gone by Clive Barker.
Books October 8th, 2008

Barker brings his usual colorfully sophisticated language to this book along with some very graphic imagery.
The substance of the book felt less thematically mature than his earlier works, yet still graphic enough to make this book not safe for kids.
I am a die-hard fan of Barker and in my eyes he really can do no wrong with anything that he creates. Then again, I said the same thing about Bryan Adams back in the early 90’s.

Nah uh. No way. Too scared.
LOL @ your Bryan Adams comment though.

I know you can’t really tell a book by a cover, but that must be a fantastic book because I really love that cover.
And Bryan Adams? Really?

I still like Bryan Adams, even though he’s an American now.

freggie is scared of a little book?
Barker’s visual art is sort of doodly. Kind of in line with Haley’s.
Adams used to be a rocker but then his music seemed to become more ambient in nature. This worked well in the movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, but I have mixed reactions to much of his newer stuff. I think he spends the most time in England these days…

Books have the power to put images in my mind, and judging from the title and cover of that book they’ll be pretty scary images!

You’re very correct on all counts!
