Yes, those are our pets in the flickr feed. They don’t like posing for the camera but I was able to convince them.

I always carry a point and shoot but have my DSLR for taking 'real' photos. I love photography. I'm not that good at it but I sure have fun. Are those birds yours in the flickr feed??? Recently from Flo: Camera Critters)

It’s not so much the electronics that are bulky, it’s the glass. Shrinking lenses down affects the optical properties.

You’re exactly right. That’s why I’ll still have my compact with me everywhere I go. I try to always have it with me when I’m in the car, just in case I get into an accident. It’s the best way to document the scene.

I've thought about, many times, about getting a better camera so I can do bokeh shots and have better pictures in slightly lit places. But then I'm reminded why I need a small point-and-shoot in the first place: recording the unpredictable moments. Carrying a large bulky camera is just not practical. I even take more pictures with my phone than my compact Canon! Maybe one day, good photo taking doesn't require big cameras. Recently from Rudy: Just Another DVD Obsession)
